Here’s my YOUTUBE video about how to control your emotions. In this blog, I’m sharing some of the tools I mentioned in this video.
Feel free to download, print out, and use them 🙂
This method is what I tried at the very beginning of my emotional control journey. In the past, I found myself often feeling down or falling into negative emotions, so at one point, I said to myself, “That’s enough, I’m done being controlled by my emotions, and I will create a joyful and pleasant living myself.” That’s when I seriously started working on controlling my emotions but then realized how hard it was to get myself out of negativity to actually change my emotions.
Then I came up with the “Emotional Alarm Clock Setting”and the “Emotional Rescue Kit” that helped me significantly.
First, you can print out this poster and put it up somewhere in your room to remind you when you’re dwelling on negativity.

When you catch yourself dwelling and make a quick effort to wake up,
Take a Deep Breath
Our mind and body are connected, so simply taking a deep breath can influence your motivation to move on to the next section.
Then look at your “Emotionsl Rescue Kit” to remind you that you’re in charge of your emotion and you can control it, as well as things that list up your mood instantly. So, this list needs to be filled ahead of time and you can keep it somewhere you can access easily.
Once you catch yourself dwelling in negativity, take a deep breath, and then do whatever your Feeeeeel Good List suggests to distract your negative emotions.

By practicing controlling my own emotions and creating a sense of order within my mind, not only did life become easier to live, but also the events around me started to shift towards a more pleasant direction, and my entire life began to change.
In the upcoming blog, I’ll also share some ways to face your negative emotions and release them before replacing with feel good emotions.
